旁观中国花絮：

Paul Merton in China，网上通常译名为“保罗默顿在中国”。为了戏仿中央监视系统(CCTV)者名主持人岩松白的一档臭名昭著的栏目“岩松看中国”，故，这里故意取名“柏岩松逛中国”，“柏”取“Paul”之谐音。

该节目最初得知自“自曲新闻”，昨日经musicqian得知原来我和该片中国制片还有一面之缘。故写之。

该片中国制片叫Robin Haller，是个英国小伙。当时在中国国际广播电台工作，但这哥们来中国工作的目的显然不是为了能在广播中露一把标准伦敦腔。而是为了民族音乐，早在“原生态音乐”一词被创造出来前，这哥们已自费走遍中国，录音无数，更可怕的是，这个老外还学会了很多即使在中国音乐院校闻所未闻的多种民间乐器和唱段，比如，十二木卡姆。

Robin Haller也为国外媒体写过多篇关于中国的报道。离开中国国际广播电台后，他在成为多部关于中国题裁摄制组的中国制片。

比如，Paul Merton in China中的场景和人物都是他先期在中国寻找和联系的。北京一集，原本还包括郭德纲，但最后未以呈现，估计是相声很难让国外观众产生共鸣吧。

出于对旅游者的普遍偏好满足，Robin Haller选取的场景和最后呈现的也是“新、奇、特”，关于此片中的这些“新、奇、特”，google了一下，国外观众皆呼“友邦惊诧”，国内网友多持“老外不懂中国”论。

《南方都市报》当年有个诉求：让卖猪肉的也爱看。Paul Merton in China，亦如此。

musicqian 联系上了Robin。Robin Haller告知，目前，（2008年1月）他们正在印度拍摄Paul Merton in India。Google到的消息是，Paul Merton in Germany也将开机。


Paul Merton is not really what you’d call a seasoned traveller. He’s more of a home bird. But his rapier, absurdist, and uniquely British wit is beloved by millions.

Best known as a cornerstone of the BBC television’s Have I Got News For You, he does of course tend to read a lot of newspapers, and monitor a lot of news broadcasts. So in the course of being exposed to a panoply of world events barely a day goes by without him being bombarded by at least one item on China, invariably somehow connected with the country’s apparently unstoppable rise to economic world domination. In fact, according to everything Paul reads, hears and sees, China will, within his lifetime, easily eclipse America as the global super-power.

So Paul has decided it’s time to look at China for himself. He wants to gain some first-hand experience of the nation that will soon be providing a whole new set of cultural values and influences on the way we in the West live our lives.
